Unabashed Self-Promotion and Grovelling

3 Apr

OK, I guess I’m going to have to beg.  I’ve been working for a month now on a new idea.  I find picture books to go with each day’s observances according to several different Day of the Year type calendars.  It’s been a lot of fun for me, but I’m not noticing any likes or comments from you guys… then I realized these are all set up as pages not posts, and new pages don’t send notifications.  So, I’m writing a post to let you all know what I’m working on.

At the top of each post are the headings, my new heading is called Celebrate Every Day with a Picture Book.  It’s a drop down menu of all the daily pages I’ve written so far under each month’s subheading. I would like this to become a resource for parents and teachers to find new and old picture books to share with their kids. I try to have a few days in advance completed so you can plan ahead.  My goal is eventually to be about 2 weeks ahead, but I’m not there yet.

Sure hope you check it out.  But better yet, comment and let me know what you think.  Maybe you’re looking for something different?

Gotta go work on it some more.

Can you take a minute to check it out?  Please, Please, Pretty Please with Sugar on Top?

I’m not sure where to look for Celebrate Every Day with a Picture Book. I’m a little confused.
I do know one way to gain traffic to your blog is to post a Perfect Picture Book Friday review on Susanna Leonard Hill’s blog. She has a place to submit your link. And there is a format to follow. I always put a note about participating in PPBF at the bottom of each entry. http://www.susannahill.blogspot.com/ And, you have the opportunity of really getting to know other children’s authors.

Thanks Pat. I hope this is working, on my screen I can see 3 tabs at the top of the page – About – Celebrate Every Day with a Picture Book – Contact. The middle tab has a drop down feature with March and April so far.
