Eva has short, straight, dark hair. Her little sister Sadie has long, curly, blond hair… and too much of it! Sadie’s hair is always tangled and in the way. One day Eva decides it’s time to cut Sadie’s hair. But once she gets started, she can’t stop and realizes that maybe this was not one of her best ideas. Luckily for Eva, Sadie likes it and Eva’s parents aren’t terribly upset. They take Sadie in for a professional hair cut and everybody seems happier for it.

Keyana doesn’t feel lucky to have so much wild unruly hair. But her mama tells her it’s lucky to be able to be able to do so many things with it. So although it hurts to have mama pulling and brushing through it, Keyana realizes that she can express herself through her many different hairstyles.

A girl decides to stop brushing her hair. As a result a mouse moves into her tangled mess, then another and another and another until she has one hundred mice living in her hair. Pretty soon, no one wants to be around her and her teacher tells her that she will no longer be allowed to bring her favorited doll to school because she already has a hundred mice. At that point the little girl finally decides to move the mice out, bathe, and brush her hair.
