July 31 – World Ranger Day

Happy World Ranger Day!

In the world of children’s magazines, Ranger Rick is an icon.

The National Wildlife Federation is America’s largest conservation organization. Hunter and conservationist, Theodore Roosevelt ended his presidency in 1909 with an act endowing 230 million acres of protected landscapes for the conservation of wildlife. This vision is shared today with the NWF and countless Americans across the country. Many of these Americans are park rangers.

Children of all ages enjoy reading and learning about our country’s national parks and wildlife with their friend,  Ranger Rick. Learn more about the magazines and the explore the NWF site with your child for activities, recipes, games, crafts, and songs HERE.
