November 16 – International Day for Tolerance

Happy Tolerance Day!

“Peace cannot be kept by force. It can only be achieved by understanding.”                                -Albert Einstein (1930)

Teaching children tolerance is the first step toward peace. These and many other picture books show children that #1 It’s okay to be different. Celebrate your own uniqueness and those of others.  #2 Peace begins with little things like a smile, a wave, or a prayer. And #3 Whoever you are, we are all part of the human race.
