Then Princess Magnolia’s pink glitter stone ring rings. Oh,no! That only means one thing, a monster is trying to steal goats again. Quickly, Princess Magnolia changes into her secret identity, Princess in Black. She and her unicorn/horse gallop to rescue the baby goat and send the monster back to Monsterville. But when she gets back to the castle and changes back into her pretty pink dress, she gets another call for help. Princess Magnolia has to come up with clever ways to escape her own party in order to become the Princess in Black over and over again. She finally gets rid of all the monsters and has a wonderful time at her party.
Literary Merit: Second in a trilogy of Princess in Black stories. Easy to read and follow story lines.
Kid Appeal: Princesses and dual identities will keep readers involved in the story. The two totally different characters and setting will keep kids engaged. Princess Superhero is a new character kids will love getting to know.
