She finds the kitten and looks for clues. Soon she finds his collar and knows where he lives. Katie returns the kitten, but the Kitten wants to join her in her Mystery Solving Business. So the kitten joins Katie at her stand. And since he lives right next door, he’s sure to go home at the end of the day.

Literary Merit: Easy to read. Nice mystery format for beginning readers.

Kid Appeal: Mysteries are fun to solve and this one keeps the reader involved in collecting clues and solving the case. And, of course… kittens!
