Summary: This rhyming story is about a pig in a wig, in a boat in a moat. The pig is soon joined by a number of new characters until the boat is so crowded that the pig send them all away. Then it’s just the pig in a wig, in a boat in a moat, all alone. The pig sees the rest to the animals on an island in the moat and invites them to return… to a bigger boat because life is more fun with friends!

Literary Merit: Rhyming text is fun and engaging. The cumulative plot and humor are used throughout the story.

Kid Appeal: The story is funny with absurd rhyming pairs and a common childhood theme of friendship.
